Yin Yoga - Invitation to Deeply Release & Slow Down

Yin Yoga class is a passive & slow yoga practice that activates the deeper lying yin tissues, which is the layer of connective tissue comprising of tendons, fascia, bones, cartilage and ligaments that tend to get cold, tight, stiff & less elastic without movement & circulation, making us feel stiff & rigid, causing misalignments to our posture.

Yin yoga involves no muscular tension or exhaustion. This practice brings circulation & warmth to the yin tissues and induces a state of deep release inside the layers of connective tissue.

In this practice, the postures are held for 5-10 minutes. Holding the poses slowly stretch the yin tissues. This practice is deeply youth enhancing & helps plump-up the skin with its effects on collagen & hyaluronic acid production.

In this class, nearly 65 Yin Yoga poses are covered rotationally (with or without props depending upon class structure) to increase flexibility, circulation & overall range of motion in joints & ligaments. The class is aligned with proper breathing & functional alignment for each pose. The practice begins with breath regulation to calm down the nervous system & consciously releasing any tension out of the body before holding postures in yin.

Yin Yoga practice improves performance in strength practices, rejuvenates the fascia, improves skin health & facial appearance with its effects on collagen & hyaluronic acid production, improves ligament & joint health, fosters mental clarity, helps reduce stress & leads to open flexible tissues making you feel more open, free & liberated in your body & mind.
